DRE Homes’ Qurat Ul Ain Featured in Khaleej Times on Palm Jumeirah

Qurat Ul Ain, Chief Legal Officer (CLO) at DRE Homes, has been featured in Khaleej Times, sharing her insights into Palm Jumeirah’s continued position as one of Dubai’s leading ultra-luxury real estate destinations.

Palm Jumeirah continues to demonstrate remarkable resilience in Dubai’s luxury property market, maintaining its appeal among high-net-worth buyers despite being a fully developed island. In a recent feature by Khaleej Times, Qurat Ul Ain, CLO at DRE Homes, highlighted the destination’s consistent performance across both apartment and villa segments.

According to Qurat, Palm Jumeirah’s strength lies in its ability to perform across multiple property categories, making it a distinctive destination in Dubai’s ultra-luxury real estate landscape.

“Roughly one in every five $10 million-plus homes sold in Dubai this year has been on the Palm, and that's on an island that's been fully built out for years. No other location appears in the top three for both apartments and villas.”

Her comments underline the island’s continued appeal, supported by its established waterfront setting, limited availability of land and sustained demand for premium residential properties.

A Consistent Performer Across Apartments and Villas

Palm Jumeirah continues to attract buyers across different segments of the luxury market. While established villas remain highly sought after for their waterfront locations and exclusivity, high-end apartment developments are gaining traction among buyers seeking contemporary design and hospitality-inspired services.

Qurat highlighted the changing preferences of luxury buyers, noting that the island is witnessing a clear distinction between demand for completed villas and newer branded apartment developments.

“What's interesting is that the Palm now has two quite different buyer pools. On the villa side, people want a finished home on the fronds, and they're willing to buy resale stock at very high prices because supply is fixed. On the apartment side, demand has moved towards new branded towers, where the buyer is paying for hotel-style services and a newer product.”

This shift reflects the evolving expectations of high-net-worth individuals, with buyers increasingly considering lifestyle, services, design and long-term value alongside location.

Evolving Luxury Preferences in Dubai

The growing interest in branded residences and premium apartment developments reflects a broader transformation in Dubai’s luxury real estate market. Buyers are increasingly exploring vertical living, particularly in developments that offer exclusive amenities, personalised services and distinctive architectural experiences.

Palm Jumeirah’s performance across both apartments and villas highlights its ability to accommodate these changing preferences while maintaining its position as an established luxury destination.

For DRE Homes, insights such as these reflect the importance of understanding market movements, buyer behaviour and the factors shaping Dubai’s real estate investment landscape.

Qurat Ul Ain’s feature in Khaleej Times further highlights DRE Homes’ commitment to providing informed perspectives on Dubai’s property market and supporting clients with expertise across the city’s residential and investment opportunities.
