Al Jaddaf
Al Jaddaf (or Al Jadaf), nestled in western Dubai, is part of Bur Dubai, a historically prosperous community in the emirate situated along Dubai Creek. Literally meaning "the Rover", the district used to be a Dhow manufacturing area. The coastal side of Al Jadaf is still dedicated to the construction of the shipyard and a grand dhow, which is expected to set a new world record.
This is strategically nestled between Dubai Creek and Business Bay Extension, Al Jaddaf is well connected to important areas such as Downtown Dubai and Business Bay. Major highways and a subway line also pass through the area, making commuting easy for residents. Additionally, Al Jadaf Zabeel Stadium is home to the Mohammed bin R. Ashid Library, Latifa Hospital, and a variety of apartment buildings and hotels.
