Dubai Mall, already the world's second-largest shopping mall, is about to get even bigger. Emaar Properties has unveiled an ambitious Dh1.5 billion expansion plan, adding 240 new luxury stores and food and beverage outlets. The contractor is already mobilizing on-site to commence this large-scale project.

In announcing the expansion, Mohamed Alabbar stated, "The new Dubai Mall expansion is a great addition to one of the most visited sites in the world. It reflects Dubai’s ambitious vision to remain at the forefront of global innovation and culture, further solidifying our city's position as a top global destination."

In 2023, Dubai Mall achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the most visited place on Earth with a record-breaking 105 million visitors, a 19 percent increase from the previous year.

Currently spanning 1.2 million square metres and housing over 1,200 retail outlets, the mall is set to further enhance its status as a premier global shopping and entertainment destination.

This expansion underscores Dubai's commitment to maintaining its reputation for innovation and cultural prominence on the world stage.
