Dubai’s Palm Jebel Ali: Eight Fronds Ready by 2025 as Dh810 Million Marine Contract Kicks Off

Dubai’s ambitious Palm Jebel Ali project is on track for a major milestone, with the first eight fronds expected to be ready by early 2025. This exciting development marks a crucial step towards initiating the island's villa infrastructure and civil works.

In a recent announcement, Nakheel disclosed the awarding of a significant Dh810 million contract for essential marine operations on Palm Jebel Ali. This contract will encompass a range of tasks, including dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement. These efforts are pivotal in laying the groundwork for the construction of villas across all fronds of the island.

According to Nakheel, "Mobilization efforts are already in progress, and Jan De Nul Dredging is anticipated to complete the marine works at Palm Jebel Ali in just over two years." This timeline is crucial for aligning with the broader development schedule and ensuring the timely delivery of the project.

In addition to marine work, a new public access road linking Palm Jebel Ali directly to Sheikh Zayed Road is now under construction. This road will enhance connectivity and accessibility for future residents and visitors, streamlining travel to and from the island.

Last year saw the launch of over 700 villas in Phase 1 of Palm Jebel Ali. The market response was immediate and robust, with all units selling out within hours amid a surge of interest from property brokers and investors.

The ongoing progress in both infrastructure and marine works is directly tied to the successful delivery of these homes, which are projected to be handed over by late 2026. When fully completed, Palm Jebel Ali will span an impressive 13.4 kilometres and feature 16 fronds along with 91 kilometres of beachfront. This sprawling artificial archipelago, which is set to be twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, is expected to accommodate around 35,000 families, setting a new standard for luxury living in Dubai.

The advancements on Palm Jebel Ali highlight the project's ambitious vision and its potential to reshape Dubai’s coastal landscape. With significant investments and strategic developments underway, the island promises to offer unparalleled residential experiences in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
