As per the valuable comments of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai has ordered, the commitment of extension of the freeze on Dubai government fees has been made till early 2023. The news was confirmed with an official tweet from Dubai Media Office (@DXBMediaOffice).

This important move is taken with the efficient aim of boosting the social stability, economic competitiveness, and confidence of businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors in the emirates. It is strengthening the ability of Dubai to adopt the changing pattern of the market realities, accelerate the pace of recovery and boost sustainable development.

Besides this, no extra fees will be imposed, except in the case of the introduction of new vital services. This extension of the freeze on the Dubai Government fees very well complements the five economic packages that were launched by the administration in March 2020. This move was taken to cope with the economic damage of the nation because of the pandemic. The initiative further ensures that the short-term impact of COVID-19 will not affect the long-term economic developments of the nation.
